The 26th edition of the Aurum 1006km powered by Hankook took place from 17th to 19th July at the temporary street circuit in Palanga, on Lithuania’s Baltic coast. The endurance race is one of the best-known motorsport events in the Baltics and is held in high regard throughout the region. After 8 hours, 14 minutes and 53.201 seconds, the Audi quartet of Mindaugas Valiūnas, Mantas Matukaitis, Karolis Jovaiša and Egidijus Gražys celebrated a prestigious home win. The four compatriots relied on the optimum grip level of the Hankook tyres to complete a total of 373 laps on the 2.682-kilometre circuit. They were followed by British driver Benjamin Barker and Mantas Janavičius and Marius Bartkus (both Lithuania) in second place in a Porsche GT3 Cup. Adam Christodoulou from Great Britain and Daan Arrow from the Netherlands, in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, completed the podium. The spectators around the circuit were treated to a thrilling display of horsepower, supported by premium manufacturer Hankook.
